SUMMARY
To assist the Quality function as technical support in issues affecting manufacturing. The Quality Engineer ensures that performance and product quality conform to established company, customers and regulatory requirements. Reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly and process. Supports in the investigation of problems and with the disposition, modification, and corrective action for recurring or non-recurring discrepancies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Support in the maintenance of control plans and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
- Support with inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests.
- Support the audits of quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
- Confirms that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is complete and compliant with requirements.
- Support in the execution of process / equipment / systems validations/qualifications.
- Supports change controls in relation to customer, supplier, and internally driven changes.
- Support with the completion of corrective actions (CAPA).
- Supports investigation team with customer complaints.
- Constantly seeks to improve work processes; Has a quality-first mentality; Learns from internal and external best practices to apply to her/his work.
- Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
- Role model and promote the organizations Values and Behaviors.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Customer service skills as well as effective communication skills \u2013 both verbal and written. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Ability to work additional hours as needed. Ability to travel.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor\u2019s degree in industrial engineering, Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred.
- 0 - 2 years work experience in a related position.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
- Travel requirements: Domestic and/or Global, up to 20%
- Climate controlled office environment during normal business hours.
