SUMMARY
The Lead Quality Technician works under supervision, partnering with Manufacturing, Quality and Quality Engineering to continuously improve the quality performance and ensure compliance with quality standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to the assembly process. Assists in the investigation of problems and develops dispositions and corrective actions for discrepancies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development, modification, and maintenance of quality evaluation and control plans and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
- Change of methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
- Support the plan quality operation activities, assuring the correct execution of quality tests for product release.
- Approve batch record documentation and revising of manufacturing processes.
- May serve as a Validation support, supporting the development, approval and execution of validation activities.
- Assists in the process for ensuring that corrective actions (CAPA) are completed in accordance with relevant ISO requirements (ISO 9001 and ISO 13485), Jabil Problem Solving methods, and that documentation is complete and compliant with requirements. May own CAPAs and serves as a Leader for the Corrective Action and Preventive Actions implementation.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- Provide support to all Safety, Health and Environment (EHS) programs and initiatives in order to support our zero accidents culture.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Knowledge in SMT manufacturing process.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
- Intermediate English level required.
- Student of industrial engineering or equivalent.
