Job Summary
The Quality Technician II at Jabil, Inc. performs a variety of technical duties to support the quality assurance function, ensuring products and processes meet established standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting materials, monitoring production, and assisting with problem resolution to maintain high-quality output.
Job Responsibilities
* Conduct in-process and final inspections of products, components, and assemblies against blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
* Utilize various measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM) to verify dimensional accuracy and functionality.
* Document inspection results accurately and promptly, identifying and reporting non-conformances.
* Assist in the investigation and resolution of quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
* Perform first article inspections and provide feedback to production and engineering teams.
* Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality control plans and procedures.
* Support the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
* Participate in internal and external audits as required.
* Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality and process efficiency.
* Train and mentor junior quality technicians on inspection techniques and quality procedures.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Job Qualifications
* Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing) or equivalent work experience.
* 2-4 years of experience in a quality assurance or manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics manufacturing or a related industry.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
* Strong understanding of quality control principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., SPC, 8D, FMEA).
* Experience with various measurement and inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, CMM).
* Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or other relevant quality management systems.
