                                        The Quoting Specialist II plays a vital role in the sales and business development process by creating detailed and accurate cost estimates for customer projects. This position requires a strong understanding of contract manufacturing, including materials, processes, and production methods, to ensure that quotes meet customer requirements and company profitability goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quote Preparation and Analysis
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to gather necessary data for quotes.
 - Prepare detailed and competitive quotes based on customer specifications, timelines, and budgets.
 - Analyze costs, margins, and pricing strategies to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Internal Customer Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for quote-related inquiries from internal customers.
 - Clarify customer requirements and resolve any discrepancies in technical or commercial aspects.
 - Provide timely follow-ups and updates to customers on the status of their quotes.
Cost Optimization
- Identify opportunities to optimize costs by suggesting alternative materials, processes, or suppliers.
Collaboration and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of all quotes, revisions, and supporting documents.
 - Ensure that quotes are aligned with contractual terms and conditions.
 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition from quote approval to production.
Process Improvement
- Continuously improve quoting processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing best practices.
 - Stay updated on market trends, industry standards, and competitor pricing.
 - Comply and follow all procedures within the company's safety policy.
 - Support all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives in order to support our zero-accident culture.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost structures.
 - Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and quoting tools.
 - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or equivalent analytical tools.
